To meet the increasing demand for 2-meter (80+") lathes, Victor Taichung is developing its own 2-meter lathe Vturn-40/220. They are scheduled to present this new model at TIMTOS 2007 and EMO 2007. With the upgraded spindle nose A2-11 and spindle motor @30i motor, Vturn-40 has covered the technical limitation on the existing Vturn-36 models. The rapid feed has been upgraded to 787 ipm to reduce the idle time for higher efficient production.

The new model features:

Genuine 45° single block slant bed for maximum structure rigidity.
Maximum turning length of 86.6".
Rapid feed rate of 787/787 ipm.
Spindle nose A2-11 with Kitagawa hydraulic 15" chuck for bar capacity 91mm (3.58").
Fanuc 50 HP spindle a30/6000i and Z-axis power 9.4 HP by a30/3000i.
Z-axis ballscrew diameter of 50mm (1.97").
Box slideways with hardness HRC 55 for heavy cutting.
A two-step gearbox is included to further enhance the cutting torque at low rpm.
A high-volume coolant flush onto the Z-axis cover helps reduce the chip build-up inside the machine.
An overhang-moving CRT allows more space for the machine operator and can avoid the high freight on transportation.
